Dr. Leslie Mitzel: Chiropractor, Athlete Advocate, and Wellness Enthusiast
Dr. Leslie Mitzel is a licensed chiropractor in both Colorado and Michigan, dedicated to wellness care, family health, and helping athletes perform at their best. Whether she’s adjusting spines or petting dogs (even if they’re not hers), Dr. Leslie brings warmth, professionalism, and a personal touch to her practice.
Originally from the Metro-Detroit area, Dr. Leslie grew up in Michigan and earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training at Saginaw Valley State University. Her journey to chiropractic began after an injury during her rugby-playing days introduced her to the profound benefits of chiropractic care. Inspired by her own recovery, she knew she wanted to help others experience the same transformative impact.
Determined to follow her passion, she moved to Iowa to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport. While earning her degree, Dr. Leslie stayed connected to her rugby roots, playing for and later coaching the Palmer Women’s Rugby team. Her love for working with athletes inspired her to take multiple extremity seminars, where she honed her expertise in treating joint and soft tissue injuries. This advanced training has not only benefited her personally but has also allowed her to help patients return to doing what they love.
Dr. Leslie is also passionate about caring for people, believing that wellness begins at birth. She gained invaluable experience during an internship at Westwood Family Chiropractic in Boston, working alongside exceptional mentors.
After opening her own successful practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. Leslie decided to embrace her adventurous spirit. She sold her practice to pursue travel and fulfill her dream of setting up a practice in Colorado, where she now calls home.
When she’s not helping patients feel their best, you’ll likely find Dr. Leslie outdoors hiking, exploring new destinations, or savoring a great meal at a local restaurant. Although she doesn’t have a dog of her own (yet!), she makes up for it by happily petting and playing with every dog she meets. Dr. Leslie also cherishes time spent with family and friends, especially her growing crew of nieces and nephews.
Dr. Leslie’s mission is simple: to help her patients live their best lives—ready to conquer their next adventure, whether it’s on the field, at work, or in everyday life.
